The 3 Jolly Butchers at Houghton and Wyton

The Three Jolly Butchers is the only public house in Wyton and occupies a large site on Huntingdon Road. Built in 1622, the building was originally a yeoman's house with a thatched roof (although it is now tiled).

The building is separated into two halves by the large fireplace; one half acting as a restaurant, the other as a bar, although bar snacks are served here too.

Both sides of the building feature typically low wooden beams, the building holding much of the charm of its period.

The decor is tasteful and a comfortable leather suite fills what used to be the "little snug".

I can recommend the Three Jolly Butchers for a reasonably priced bar snack, good beer and a good atmosphere.

The Three Jolly Butchers boasts a large garden which is very pleasant on a hot sunny day.
